Firefighters brought in heavy equipment to tear down the walls of the service area at Buff Whelan Chevrolet in Sterling Heights, after a massive fire Tuesday night.
They say a four-alarm fire led to 12 fire departments responding to put out the flames. Reports say at least 20 cars were on fire inside the building and most of the damage is contained to the service area and body shop.
The Sterling Heights chief described the fire as the largest he's heard of in the city's history.
