Waterford Native Paul Fry Makes it to MLB

Waterford native and Waterford Kettering alum (2010) Paul Fry made his Major League Baseball debut on Friday June 29th for the Baltimore Orioles. Fry faired well as he didn't allow a run over 1 2/3 innings pitched, giving up two hits and striking out his first two batters; one of those including the best player in baseball Mike Trout.

Below is the video of Fry's first career strike out against Los Angeles Angels Outfielder Kole Calhoun.

Fry attended Waterford Kettering High School from 2006-2010, then he went on to play at St. Claire County Community College before being drafted by the Seattle Mariners in 2013.

Fry pitched within the Minor Leagues with the Seattle organization until he was traded to Baltimore on April 14th 2017 but optioned to the AAA affiliate, the Norfolk Tides. Shortly after the trade, Fry was called up to the Major Leagues  but did not make an appearance in a game before being sent back to Norfolk.

We are all rooting for Paul Fry in the Major Leagues, even against the Tigers...maybe.
