Joey will be joining our friend Ann Marie LaFlamme from Channel 7 in an Over The Edge event benefitting Gigi's Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center. On Friday at 4p, they will repel 26 floors down the First National Building in Detroit to raise money for Gigi's Playhouse, which gives individuals in our Down Syndrome community a free place to go to have fun and learn.
Joey is doing this for his buddy Shane who he met 7 years ago at our Time Team Detroit Miracle League event, where we play baseball with children with any physical or cognitive disability. Ever since that day, Joey saw Shane graduate from high school, drank a beer together on his 21st birthday and shared many memories on big milestones of each other's lives.
