Cops in Chicago released video footage related to “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett's alleged hate crime as part of 69 never-before-seen hours of video released yesterday (Monday). It includes footage of Smollett with the noose on his neck, minutes after the alleged attack on January 29th.
The footage shows three cops entering Smollett's apartment about 40 minutes after responding to the 911 call. Once inside, you see the actor standing with a long rope visibly around his neck. He then tells the cops his attackers poured bleach on him.
Police later determined that he staged the attack and charged him with filing a false police report.
Jussie Smollett maintains his innocence.
