A doctor in Dublin, Ireland recent did a demonstration to help debunk the misconception that wearing a mask decreases the amount of oxygen available to you to breathe.
He hooked himself up to a machine that measures oxygen saturation levels and then put one six masks, one after the other, and noted the oxygen levels being displayed on the machine.
After starting at 99, the levels did not fall once, despite the Doctor wearing a total of six masks.
At the moment the state of Michigan requires you to wear a mask in public indoor spaces and crowded outdoor spaces.
