Rest in Peace, Alex Trebek.

Alex Trebek died at the age of 80 yesterday (Sunday) after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

The longtime “Jeopardy!” host died at his home in Los Angeles surrounded by family and friends. Trebek revealed a stage four diagnosis for pancreatic cancer in March 2019.

Sources say Trebek's final day in the studio was on October 29th and episodes will continue to air through Christmas Day.

Thirty-six years. Nearly 8,000 episodes. And 35 Emmys Awards.

It’s unclear how the show will move forward without him— though some have speculated that champion Ken Jennings would take over hosting duties.

Producers said, “The show is not announcing plans for a new host at this time."
