UPDATE: Pilot Was "Disoriented" In Kobe Bryant Crash Case

Federal investigators revealed their findings in the fatal helicopter crash that killed Kobe Bryant and eight others, including his daughter Gianna ... putting blame on the pilot.

The National Transportation Safety Board said that the pilot of the helicopter appeared to violate federal standards and is likely to have experienced"spatial disorientation" while flying through clouds on the foggy morning back in January 2020.

One official called the incident a crash, and not an accident because it was preventable if the helicopter stayed grounded due to the weather.

The board also recommended that charter helicopter pilots get more simulator and scenario-based training in spatial disorientation.
