Is EA Sports throwing shade at Matt Stafford? The Lions traded Matt Stafford to the LA Rams in the offseason, so the new Madden obviously depicts Stafford in a Rams jersey with his new team.
But in the gameplay, Stafford is shown throwing an interception to his old team, our Detroit Lions! I can't tell is this is a shoutout to the Lions defense (unlikely), shade at Stafford's throwing ability or just some foreshadowing about the Rams/Lions game that is on the schedule this season.
