A 22-year-old college senior who was critically injured at the Astroworld festival in Houston has passed away, making her the 9th person to die in the crowd after fans pushed toward the stage during Travis Scott's performance.

Bharti Shahani was a Texas A&M student who has been in critical condition and not showing brain activity since last Friday evening.

She was at the concert with her sister and cousin but they were split up when the crowd surge started.

Bharti suffered multiple heart attacks during the crowd surge. She was taken by ambulance to Houston Methodist Hospital, with paramedics administering CPR on the way, but she succumbed to her critical injuries.

Also yesterday, the family of 9-year-old Ezra Blount, who attended the show with his dad and was trampled, requested that people "never stop praying." Little Ezra remains in a medically induced coma.
