Olivia Wilde accused her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis of attempting to “sabotage” her by having custody papers served at CinemaCon, calling the move “appalling.”

The actress & director reflected on the “really vicious” incident in April, saying, “Sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean, there’s a reason I left that relationship.”

Wilde noted that the only people who “suffered” from the decision were the former couple’s son, Otis, and their daughter, Daisy.

“They’ll have to see that, and they shouldn’t ever have to know that happened. The victims were an 8- and 5-year-old, and that’s really sad."

“I chose to become an actress; I willingly walked into the spotlight. But it’s not something my children have asked for. And when my kids are dragged into it, it’s deeply painful.”

Wilde said she was not “distracted” when she received the documents in a manila envelope, saying, “I had a job to do. It was my workplace.”

That said, the “attack” did take attention away from “the work of so many different people,” as she had been giving the first look at her movie, “Don’t Worry Darling” during the event.

“It was really upsetting,” she said. “It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary.”
