A woman says she 'went to high school with Taylor Swift' and claims jealous students 'HATED' the singer - and were angry after she wrote songs about local guys.
Jessica McLane said that she attended Hendersonville High School in Nashville, Tennessee, with Taylor for less than a year in 2006. Swift, who grew up Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, moved to Tennessee when she was 14 so she could pursue a career in country music. She was a student at Hendersonville High School for two-and-a-half years - before she ultimately left to become homeschooled after her career took off.
Now, Jessica has dished on what Taylor was like before fame, claiming that while she herself hardly talked to the artist, other students said she was 'b***hy.'
Jessica says, 'When she first started becoming successful, most people hated her. There were not a lot of people who had nice things to say about her.'
Jessica said Taylor's 'jealous' classmates started to spread vicious rumors about her, and that the guys who inspired some of Taylor's songs were not happy.
When a commenter pointed out McLane didn’t provide any receipts for her claims, she posted a video showing off her yearbooks.
She gave her followers a look at her 2006-2007 yearbook from Henderson High School from what would’ve been her freshman year, as well as her 2009-2010 yearbook which would’ve been her senior year — the year she reportedly went to the CMAs.
McLane explains that the reason she didn’t show Swift in the yearbook is because the then-known star started homeschooling, and she dropped out before picture day. However, she posted yet another video showing that she did actually find the rising pop star in a photo collage.
McLane wouldn’t elaborate when contacted by The New York Post, but stood by claims made in her TikTok. She added that while she “didn’t know her personally,” she “was friends with people in her class who knew her” and “only saw her once at an after school select chorus event.”
