Florence Pugh sat down with BBC Radio's This Cultural Life to discuss the pressures of fame, why she stopped Googling herself and revealed she's working on an album.

Pugh said while she would've put money on her becoming a singer-songwriter before an actress, she has been out of practice for some time and is working on changing that. She has written several songs for an upcoming film after 'losing confidence' in performing music.

As a teenager she posted music to YouTube under the name Flossie Rose but her acting career took off at age 17 with "The Falling".

Pugh said, "To me being an actor was so far away. I knew that I could do it, but I didn't know how to get there."

She said working on new music for her upcoming film has pushed her to revisit her love for songwriting.

"And I know that if I don't do it, the lack of confidence is only going to get worse and I just need to just give it a go."

Also in the episode she revealed her former partner Zach Braff had told her to stop Googling herself to avoid seeing hurtful things on social media.

She said, "It's the hardest thing to do but you just can't engage."
