Maria Menounos has announced that she is stepping down as a co-anchor on E! News after revealing she had a benign tumor in her brain removed. Her mother is also going through a similar situation, battling Stage 4 brain cancer.
Since joining E! in 2014, Maria became known for her interviews on the red carpet and her adorable infectious laugh. Menounos has not ruled out the possibility of coming back to the network in the future. She says she plans to use the time off to focus on passion projects and will enjoy the rest.
