DJ Whip was born with a natural born instinct to blend beats. Fueled by an underlying passion to aurally stimulate the masses with his innate ability to mix open format with artists dominating the airwaves and charts of today. His talent has audiences tuning in around the world and keeping him in demand at premiere nightclubs and brand activation soirees.
Like any artist, Whip learned at an early age to be a key player in the industry, he had to earn the respect of his peers and more importantly his audience. Therefore, his musical path began like many that pioneered on the turntables before him. Before he was a teenager he saved his money to buy a mixer and turntable. By 15, he was main attraction at local house parties. By 18, he was dominating the DJ battles and gaining the recognition of national media outlets and brands.
Throughout his college career, DJ Whip was added to Source Magazine’s “Unsigned Hype Tour,” which hit major markets including New York City, Atlanta, and Chicago. This opportunity escalated him to the next level allowing him to share the same stages as Sean Paul, Nas, Nick Jonas, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Lil Jon, and the list goes on. Whip quickly moved to having his own spotlight as he was invited to be one of the performers at Super Bowl XL.
