Meet iHeartMedia Detroit's Powerful Women

They're your best friend in the car.

You hear their voices, you hear their stories, you learn about their lives, who they hang out with and where they go. They introduce you to new songs, artists and the biggest music events in America, like our iHeartRadio Music Festival and iHeartRadio Music Awards Show which is going down this Sunday at 8p.  

These are the women who set trends in Metro Detroit. They help residents in need and represent a growing number of successful female talent around the country and at iHeartMedia Detroit on the radio and behind the scenes. Some of them are a part of our sales team, some go out to be the face of our radio station's at promotion events and more. 

Get to know the powerful women of iHeartMedia:

Kim Blotkamp

Coming up on her 12-year anniversary at iHeartMedia, Kim Blotkamp is one of the General Sales Managers in Detroit. She has a great time with the sales team ‘fram-ily’ …or work family. She appreciates working with all departments at iHeart for the good of all clients to develop revenue & create fun, engaging & sometimes outrageous client campaigns.  As a sales team they all work hard and play hard together and it shows. Her husband  - and especially her three young boys – love coming into the station & think it’s cool to visit the studios and talent on-air.

Angel Tedesco 

Anyone who knows Angel describes her as an “animal lover” first and one of Michigan’s most successful media specialists, second. When not raising money for animal charities and tending to her two massive Mastiffs, she has been pioneering the integration of digital content and innovative promotions with traditional broadcast advertising. Her ability to understand a client’s needs while at the same time working closely with the iHeart programming team has earned her the nickname “My Favorite” from both on-air talent and advertisers alike. Joining iHeart Detroit in 1997, over the years Angel has gained a reputation as an ADVISOR, ADVOCATE and GET-IT-DONE kind of advertising-angel.

Cody Trombley 

Cody was born and raised in Metro Detroit and is a Specs Howard School of Media Arts grad.  She has been working in the Detroit radio market for the past 12 years doing promotions with a few pit stops on the air.  Cody started out in the streets as an intern and has worked her way up through the ranks.  Currently she is the Promotions Director for Channel 955, 100.3 WNIC, and ALT 106.7 at iHeartMedia Detroit.

Producer Rachel

She is the Mojo in the Morning Executive Producer. She has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. She started in daytime television working for “The View” and moved over to morning radio when she realized her favorite segment was Hot Topics which is what morning radio really is best at. Mojo has been fortunate enough to have her on his team for 11 years. She is married and has 2 biological children with her husband Mark, Nico is 7 and Sophia is six plus 3 stop sons, Devin, Mason, and Ashton.

Bri

She is an on-air talent and traffic anchor. Bri is an Alumni of Eastern Michigan University and Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in Southfield, MI. She has been on air for iHeartMedia since 2009 having both weekend and public affairs shows on 97.9 WJLB and Mix 92.3. Bri had the opportunity to start doing traffic reporting as well for the Total traffic & Weather Network which led to a 4 year run on 100.3 WNIC as a contributor, and morning drive traffic and weather. Currently, Bri can be heard daily doing Afternoon Drive traffic for all iHeartMedia Detroit stations as well as reports, PSAs and commercials in other iHeartMedia markets. When not on the air, Bri enjoys reading a good book, spending time with friends and family and connecting with listeners on social media. Theresa Lucas 

I grew up in Brighton, MI and fortunate enough to be on Detroit radio my entire career. I am currently the assistant program director on 100.3 WNIC. I coordinate our community outreach program for the building, so if you need any of us at your upcoming charity event... let's connect! 

Kirby Gwen 

Kirby is the Midday host & the Breakfast Clubs News and Traffic Anchor for 97.9 WJLB. Kirby was born and raised on the Eastside of Detroit. Radio has been her dream since the age of 7!  Radio has its glamorous moments, but her favorite part of the job is the opportunity it creates to make the lives of the people in her community better.  "On International Women’s Day... and everyday, my wish for all women is that we learn that 'Self-care is not Selfish!'"

Dorothy Maxwell

Born and raised in Detroit.  She has been with iHeartMedia for 15 years and doing traffic for 22 years.   She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Proud grandmother of 3 beautiful granddaughters. She loves her job! 

Lauren Pallitto

On the Automotive Connections Team. Lauren has been a part of iHeartMedia's sales team for 6 years.  She’s energetic, strategic, dedicated, and genuine.  Lauren has a strong passion for the automotive category and is devoted to driving results for her clients.  In 2014, she was named the Automotive Consultant of the Year of the iHeartMedia enterprise.   When she’s not at work proudly representing iHeartMedia, she’s spending time with her son, husband, family, and friends – which all mean the world to her!

Cheron

It's Your Girl Cheron. Cheron is the midday host 10am- 3pm on Mix 92.3 Detroit’s R&B and Throwbacks! She is also the Asst. Program Director and Music Director for both Mix 92.3 WMXD and 97.9 WJLB!  Affectionately referred to as "your girl", Cheron has been in the Detroit market for over 15 years, having recently made her transition from Middays on 97.9 WJLB!  Her show is both inspiring and informative.  Cheron stays connected by sharing personal stories about her life that are relatable to her listeners.  She is a direct reflection of her audience by living the lifestyle!

A'Real Collins

An Extremely Hard Working & A Huge Supporter Of The ih=HeartMedia Brand.  

Since Graduating From Specs Howard School Of media Arts In 2010 Areal Has Been On A One Way Road To Success and Has No Plans Of Stopping Anytime Soon.  

A'real started At iHeartMedia Detroit in 2011 & she has done it all from running boards for all live events for several different stations and shows as well as producing the shows to Excutive Producing &  handling all local content for The Steve Harvey Morning Show.

Jonelle Criscuolo

Jonelle is a Senior Integrated Media Specialist and has been working with iHeartMedia Detroit for over 10 years. She’s the proud mom of an 11-year-old son, Alex and Rottweiler/American Bulldog mix named Lucy. She graduated with her Bachelors in Communication from Michigan State University and she’s a diehard Detroit sports fan!

Heidi Comartin

 I’ve lived in Michigan my whole life, mostly in Detroit and its surrounding areas so it’s no surprise for me to be in the automotive division of iHeartMedia.  I have an associate degree in computer electronic engineering and a bachelor in Computer Science from ITT Tech and Baker College.  I enjoy working in such a dynamic environment with something new going on each day.  In my free time, I try to go to the lake, maybe get the kayak in the water for a little bit but mostly spend it with my family doing everyday things. 

Alisha Bailey

Alisha is a Sr. Account Manager and a 17 media sales veteran with 11 years with IHeartMedia Born and raised in The suburbs of Detroit. When she’s not under promising and over delivering for her clients, she’s enjoying spending time with her friends and family. Cooking for them and making them laugh. 

Julie Kempany

I started working in the promotions departmetn on the steet team in October 2016 and moved my way up to become an Account Executive at iHeart Media Detroit. I develop high-level multi-media partnerships with clients to carry out strategic marketing campaigns for business growth and success. I grew up in South Lyon and graduated from EMU, go Eagles! 

Arielle (Ari) 

Ari is an on-air personality on Channel 955 and got her start as an intern with the Mojo in the Morning show. She is also an assistant producer on the Mojo in the Morning show. On the side she is a professional makeup artist and loves to travel as a hobby. One fun fact about Ari is she speaks Mandarin Chinese. 

Anne Erickson

Anne is an on-air personality on our newest station called Alt 106.7 (Detroit's New Alternative Station) She is a graduate of Michigan State University and loves music. Thank you to all of the great Detroit listeners who support women in radio!

Chandra Hood

Chandra is a Sr. Integrated Media Specialist. She has been with iHeartMedia for 5 years and has 15+ years of background experience in advertising. Chandra is married with children and has a master's degree in Business Administration from CMU.

Laurie Reid

I am the Finance Manage in Detroit. I transferred to Detroit in August 2017 from southern Florida.  I was with iHeart Media in Florida for 11 years. 

Carrie McCloud

Carrie started her radio career as a promotions intern in college where her task was to alphabetize the station's entire record collection for a giveaway.

After that she decided to give sales a try and has been an account executive for more than 20 years.  

She is also Mom to Miranda 11 and Nate 9 and enjoys spending lots of time with them and her husband Bryce. 

Julie Beaty

Julie was born in Port Huron and currently lives in Orchard lake. She is a proud mother of her 18-year-old daughter Alex and 16-year-old son named Nolan. She also has a dog, cat and white picket fence. Julie received her MBA from CMU. She also lived in LA and Chicago. She has a wicked tennis forehand, so be careful. She used to work at MTV Networks… glad to be working with Bob Pittman again!

Marjon Parham

Marjon is a board operator. This job is behind the scenes and whenever we are out at live broadcasts from different locations... she is the one running the controls in the studio and making sure we sound good on the air. 

Marjon is a Detroit born, University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism graduate.  Marjon currently serves as one of the new board operators in the programming department at iHeart Radio Detroit.

Last year she was a radio personality on The Soul Society Radio Show on WHFR 89.3FM in Dearborn, Michigan. A few years ago, she co-hosted a weekly Old School R&B and Hip Hop radio show on WMPZ Groove 93FM in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She also did a radio segment on the BJ Murphy morning show on WGIV 103.3FM in Charlotte, North Carolina.  

Prior to working in radio, she worked as an automotive engineer with some of the top automotive brands in the world: Mercedes Benz, Caterpillar, Suzuki and Yamaha.
