Bad Bunny Brought Out J Balvin For an Epic Coachella 2019 Performance

Bad Bunny commanded the Coachella Valley Music festival stage tonight, donning colorful visor sunglasses and a Louis Vuitton suit. The Puerto Rican artist, whose name solidifies his urge to always be “different and creative,” is just one of many Latin musician taking over this weekend.

Bunny performed “Caro," "200mph," "Ni bien, Ni mal," and "Tenemos Que Hablar" off of his album, X 100pre. Don’t worry, favs like "Mia," and "Te Bote,” we’re also mixed into the set.

And oh yessss, J Balvin also graced the stage (again!) after giving the Coachella crowd a super hype performance Saturday night. The two performed "Sensualidad" and "I Like It.

"Los Tucanes De Tijuana Friday, J Balvin yesterday and now Bad Bunny, they’re really putting us Latinos on the map at #Coachella

The inclusion of Reggaeton at the festival this year is not by chance. Fans urged the festival to incorporate more ethnic music into the venue, as the United States is seeing a rise in Reggaeton popularity over Country music, according to BuzzAngle's data. The genre which is most characterized by Spanish vocals rapped or sang has heavy influences from hip hop, Latin American and Caribbean music.

"Thank you to all the Latinos present today. My name is Bad Bunny, all the way from Puerto Rico," the 25-year old artist yelled into the crowd.

2019 marks the year of the most Latin artist to grace the Indio, California stage. In 2017 Remezcla reported that only 11 Latin artist were booked and this year, there are 17.

"These past 3 days of Coachella have made me so proud of being latinx, I’m so emotional because representation does truly matter starting with los tucanes de tijuana (mexico), j balvin (colombia) and now bad bunny (puerto rico)
