AABE Michigan Chapter - 2nd Annual Energy Ball

On September 14, 2019, The Michigan Chapter of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) will host its Second Annual Energy Ball. The purpose of the event is to honor individuals who have demonstrated professional leadership, outstanding achievements or personal involvement in an energy-related field, and to expand AABE’s presence within the communities we serve.

We invite you to partner with us as we fulfill this year’s theme: "Rising To Excellence” The Energy Ball. We are looking forward to our special guests joining us on September 14, 2019. The keynote speaker will be Telva McGruder, Director of Workplace Engineering and Operations Solutions for General Motors.

The event will be held at the Michigan Science Center, 5020 John R St, Detroit, MI. A VIP networking reception, including live entertainment, begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner and program at 7:00 p.m.

Please find enclosed a list of several levels of sponsorship options for your consideration. Opportunities include sponsoring a table(s), underwriting, or individual tickets. All of the proceeds will benefit AABE’s mission to ensure the inclusion of African Americans and other minorities into the discussions and development of energy policies, regulations, R&D technologies, and environmental issues.

The AABE Michigan Chapter was founded in 1987 by George C. Turner, and several energy professionals dedicated to creating a gateway for contribution by African Americans and other underrepresented groups, in the development of energy policies, regulations, and advanced technology within the energy sector.
