Detroit Free Press/Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers Top 10 Cares initiative
Local restaurants and the community need one more push to help get them through this tough time. For this round, we are working with Forgotten Harvest to deliver meals to the most vulnerable populations in the hardest hit communities. And, we are supporting 10 chefs who have been named 2020 Food Fighters by the Detroit Free Press and Metro Detroit Chevy Dealers. These 10 diverse chefs have served their communities in amazing ways through the coronavirus pandemic. With this program, we would like to honor them, and give back.
Please help us raise $100,000 to help provide nutritious, locally sourced meals for a community that is struggling while helping to sustain beloved metro Detroit restaurants.
Restaurants will receive $20 per meal. They will use this money to cover their meal costs, and remaining dollars will go towards filling the loses they have sustained during the pandemic.
- Kicks off on Friday, March 12th and donations will be collected through April 5th.
- Meals will be delivered the week of April 12th.
