Detroit Metro Airport To Shutdown Tram

ROMULUS, Mich. (WXYZ) — Trams will be out of service at Detroit Metropolitan Airport's McNamara Terminal until April 12.

They will be out of service due to upgrades.

The airport says travelers should allow time to walk to their gates. Moving walkways will be operating and wheelchair assistance will be available.

Well, this is a REAL pisser. Look, I've been to airports all over the world... Thailand, The Philippines, South Korea, Japan, and Guam to name a few. Detroit Metro ranks right up there with the best of them. But this shit? This is annoying. A major inconvenience especially to those who are disabled.  You would figure that one of the cutting edge airports in the United States would not have issues like this but it has to happen. Delays and cancellations suck but good luck trying to get from one of the airport to the other. Why can't we have nice things in Detroit?
