Braylon Edwards had one promise to himself: to head back to school and get his degree. This weekend, the University of Michigan football star made that promise come true.
Two years after he was drafted in the 2005 NFL Draft, he got to put the cap and gown on and say, "Hey mamma, I did it!"
When Braylon left U of M for the NFL, he was just 20 hours shy of his degree.

〽️👨🏾🎓 Its Official I am not one for long text but this moment deserves special words. It was not easy or automatic that this day would happen. It took a lot of growth and maturity on my part to be able to realize the importance of what this meant and why this was important. This day is not mine alone, not by a long shot. As I type this text I am teary eyed thinking about all the people that share in this moment with me; my Mother my Father my step mother and step father, my sisters and my brothers, my aunts and uncles, my grandmothers and grandfathers, my friends and my enemies YES my enemies. Without you all this moment does not exist. Today we celebrate me but I celebrate you. I love you all for holding me to a higher standard and expecting and demanding the very best out of me. Today marks the first day of the rest of my life and I vow to you that it will carry on as this very moment has. Thank you so very much for believing in me. ❤️😢😢😢🤣🤣🤣👨🏾🎓〽️
Here are some final words:
