7-Year-Old Boy Handcuffed After Allegedly Attacking Teacher

A 7-year-old boy was in handcuffs after an altercation at his school in Florida. He was reportedly in his elementary school's cafeteria when, according to the Miami-Dade Schools police report, the 7-year-old misbehaved after a teacher told him "not to play with his food."

After more engagement between the student and teacher about the food, the boy then allegedly "attached the teacher by repeatedly punching her on the back in the hallway," according to the report.

The boy was eventually restrained and sent to the principal's office, the report said.

Although the teacher did not have any visible injuries, she "stated her back was hurting" and "wanted to press charges."

On Monday, Miami-Dade Schools Police Fraternal Order of Police president Al Palacio came out in support of the police officer who handcuffed the boy.
