Over the last few weeks, we have been following the wife of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford, Kelly closely post brain surgery. On Tuesday, May 22 Matthew Stafford spoke to media for the first time, using one word to describe his wife, "tough."
According to our friends at WXYZ, "She's doing a heck of a job. It's a lot to go through for anybody, especially a mother of three and a wife to somebody that ha a high-profile job like myself," he said. "She's doing a heck of a job keeping it all together."
Matthew also said that Kelly told him to get back to work and get ready for the upcoming season as the entire Lions franchise is counting on him.
"Somedays Kelly had a good night, some days I was here (in Allen Park) loving it." Kelly had a bad night and I was trying to get home as fast as I can. It's been up and down, just as we kind of expected," he said.
