Michigan Rep. Rebekah Warren's 'Super Drunk' DUI Arrest on Police Dashcam

Michigan State Representative Rebekah Warren was arrested for a DUI on December 26, 2019. After watching the police dashcam footage below, it is obvious that she had a little bit too much to drink that evening. Police reported that she was nearly three times the legal limit of .08 after being pulled over heading home to Ann Arbor following an event at the Renaissance Center in Detroit.

Warren refused to take a breathalyzer test at the scene and blood was withdrawn at a hospital shortly after on a search warrant. She was seen failing her sobriety test stumbling while trying to walk in a straight line, count and reciting the alphabet. Then she used her status to try and get out of the situation saying, "You don't understand, I'm elected. I'm a senator. People will be like, The Senator got arrested." She went on to say, "This is going to be the most famous arrest you've ever made."

I lost a close friend growing up due to a drunk driver and this hurts to watch. I am just thankful that no one else was injured. Just as a reminder, an Uber/Lyft costs way cheaper than a DUI. Be smart next time you choose to drink a little too much and make the safe choice to call a driver. The risk of taking your own life or someone else's is too high and not worth it.
