We are heartbroken by the recent news of a Wayne Country Sherrif's Office commander who has passed away from the coronavirus on Wednesday. Donafay Collins was also a 30-year veteran and a married father of four. He was a close part of our family at iHeartRadio as he served many years as a radio DJ on Mix 92.3FM in Detroit.

"It is with deep sorrow and sadness for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office that we inform the community of the passing of Commander Donafay Collins," the office said in a statement. "Collins has been a valued member of our team for almost 30 years, and will truly be missed. He leaves behind a loving wife and four children."
