At 10:29am on Tuesday, September 17th, Swifties everywhere rejoiced as Taylor Swift announced her highly anticipated Lover Tour. Instead of spending a year playing shows at countless stadiums and arenas around the world, my girl Tay has decided to go a different route this time around. She will be spending summer of 2020 traveling to countries she's never played before and creating a few festivals around the world.
The biggest difference with this tour is that, as of now, she will only be hitting two cities in the US. Two nights in LA called "Lover Fest West" and two nights in Foxboro, MA called "Lover Fest East". These festivals are being branded as the only US shows of 2020 and will feature Taylor Swift "and friends" *cue screeching as I put together what this could mean*. While you will most definitely catch me at all four of those shows, this decision will inevitably cause minor annoyance among US Swifties who live nowhere near either of those two locations. However, if I know anything about anything, everyone will get over it and come July, hop on the cheapest Spirit flights we can find to make the pilgrimage to see our Queen.
