When your trip to Burger King goes wrong. A Downriver family was eating at the Burger King in Southgate and an explicit sex scene was playing on the television. When the family complained to employees, they said nothing was done to prevent children from seeing the graphic images. This was a father with his two young stepsons, aged 7 & 8.
Avery said the volume was turned off and he didn't realize what was playing until his 8-year-old stepson said something. "My oldest son said to my youngest son, 'Don't look up at the TV,'" Avery said. "I look up at the TV and this guy was fondling this woman's breast. The man was thrusting on a woman. That's definitely not something you see at a Burger King any day." The best part of the story is Avery said the employees allegedly ignored his request to change the channel or turn off the television.
Burger King released the following statement:
"This behavior does not reflect our brand values or the values of the franchisee who independently owns and operates this restaurant. The franchisee is investigating this incident thoroughly."
