A River Rouge man previously entangled in a controversy where he appeared to be posing as a K-9 officer was charged with impersonating a police officer.
Blake Purvis, 23, allegedly drove a black SUV on March 24 with police-inspired decals on the car and was wearing clothes resembling a police uniform.
He has been charged with impersonating a police officer, a one-year misdemeanor, and possession of flashing lights, a 90-day misdemeanor.
