At least 11 people have died after a tourist boat capsized last night in Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri.
The Fire Protection District said multiple agencies responded to a mass casualty call that came in just after 7p.m. last night. The “duck boat” was carrying 31 people, including children, and apparently had capsized.
Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader said others were still unaccounted for after the accident and that rescue efforts would continue through the night. Seven people were hospitalized, including two with critical injuries, according to reports. “I believe it was caused by the weather,” Rader said during a news briefing.
