Sean Strife's Top 3 Favorite Wing Spots in Detroit

I may ruffle some feathers with this one, but I figured I'd share what have become my Top 3 favorite wing spots in Detroit.

1) Uptown Grille - Commerce Township - Menu - Map

These wings might as well have come off of an ostrich. They are freakin' enormous, juicy and always perfectly cooked. They've got 9 sauces, but the two sauces that have become my favorite are the Korean BBQ and the Firecracker. The Mediterranean dry rub is also hella impressive.

2) Detroit Wing Company - Multiple Locations - Menu - Map

Impossible to go wrong here. 19 Delicious sauces, consistently good wings and locations all across Metro Detroit and even out to Grand Rapids. They also have locations opening soon in Allen Park and Roseville. If you try the Carolina Gold BBQ sauce, you'll get them every single time you go back.

According to their own Instagram, they've been "Voted ”Best Wings” by Esquire Magazine, Delish.com, MSNBC, Men’s Health, WXYZ TV, Metro Times, HOUR Detroit Magazine, Macomb Daily, WDIV 4 & Inside.

3) Sweetwater - Downtown - Menu - Map

Called the Best In Detroit but the Detroit Free Press! This spot downtown only makes their wings one way but holy cow are they delicious. If you are looking for spicy wings, these ain't it, but their proprietary blend of spices is full of flavor and unlike any wings I've had before. They are "marinated for 24 hours, dredged in spices, and fried." Maybe not the biggest wings I've seen, but the one-of-a-kind flavor has me hooked.

What do you think? Agree? Disagree? What did I miss? Where else do I need to go!
