I grew up less than 30 minutes from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High school in Parkland, Florida. I have friends who went there. I played basketball in their gym when my high school team faced them.
When Nikolas Cruz shot up the school on February 14th, 2018 it really hit close to home for me.
Today, over two and a half years since the shooting, Cruz finally pled guilty to the murder of 17 students. He also seems to blame the crime on marijuana, saying he whishes everyone would stop doing drugs and smoking marijuana and causing racism and violence out in the streets.
