$2 million in jewelry was stolen from singer Alanis Morissette’s home in Los Angeles.
TMZ says the singer was not at home when the break-in happened last week. The break-in is the latest jewelry theft reported at a celebrity’s home over the past three weeks.
Police say about $175,000 in jewelry and other valuables were stolen from Nicki Minaj’s home in the Hollywood Hills sometime between Nov. 24 and Jan. 24.About $300,000 worth of jewelry – including five NBA championship rings - was also taken from former Lakers player, Derek Fisher’s home.
So far, no arrests have been made in any of the thefts.
Law enforcement sources believe Instagram and other platforms have become the undoing of famous folks who show off expensive items. Alanis has been posting photos of her bling on various social media platforms and her blog. Some of the rings, bracelets and other jewelry go for thousands and thousands of bucks.
