Lindsay Lohan says she was racially profiled during a recent travel experience in London. The 30-year-old actress appeared on the show “Good Morning Britain” yesterday, and said the incident happened at London's Heathrow Airport because she was wearing a headscarf.
She said, "When I was flying to New York recently I was wearing a headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and was racially profiled for the first time in my life."
She said, "The agent opened my passport and saw Lindsay Lohan and started apologizing but said, 'Take off your headscarf.'"
She said the entire experience left her "scared" and made her think, "How would another woman who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel?"
The conversation switched to reports claiming Lohan has been supportive of Trump. Lindsay replied, "I don't agree with his policies and things that he's doing. But at the end of the day he is the President right now. So what's the point in picking on someone instead of letting... seeing what they're capable of."
When asked if she thinks the "hysteria is overplayed" Lohan responded with, "I think so... people are making it overly dramatic."
While she does think that his Twitter should be taken away she urges people "not to kick someone when they're down".Lindsay was returning from a trip to Turkey where she met with President Erdogan. She later posted about her visit on Instagram, and thanked the president and his wife for their kindness. She says she was wearing the headscarf during her trip, out of respect.
