Newly skinny June “Mama June” Shannon says Sugar Bear, her ex-boyfriend was physically and emotionally abusive.
She tells the NY Post, “It’s time the world sees him for what he is. [Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Shannon’s] eye buckle was caused by him … because he got mad. So many emotional and physical scars with the kids.”
Mama June and Mike “Sugar Bear” Thompson are parents to 11-year-old Alanna “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who led the family to reality TV superstardom after she first appeared on TLC’s “Toddlers and Tiaras” in 2009.
As for Alanna’s relationship with her father, “she hasn’t had one in a long time."
In 2016, Mama June and Sugar Bear resurfaced with a stint on “Marriage Bootcamp,” where Sugar Bear infamously revealed he cheated on his longtime love with both women and men.
