During Vice President Mike Spence’s speech at the White House's National Military Spouse Appreciation Day event, he accidentally whacked a kid in the face.A little boy was standing to the right of Pence's podium when the VP, mid-gesture, gave the kid an accidental whack in the face.
After the speech ended, the kid followed Pence around trying to get the VP's attention. He said to Pence, ”Excuse me? You owe me an apology."
Eventually, he did get an apology. The vice president said, "Oh, I'm very sorry, I didn't mean to bop you."
