Trey Songz is being sued by a Detroit police officer over that incident that happened at our Big Show at the Joe.
The officer says on December 28, 2016, he was working crowd control at the Big Show (at Joe Louis Arena). During the performance, Trey said, "if a n—-a cut me off I'm goin' the f—kin’ crazy," referring to employees at the venue who turned off the lights because the show was running too long.
Trey ended up throwing heavy equipment off the stage and then jumped off the stage himself, picked up a mic stand, threw it and hit a photographer, who’s also suing. The cop arrested Trey, tried to take him into custody when he says Trey fought him and hit him in the face. The cop fell to the ground and hit his head on the concrete. He allegedly suffered bruising and swelling to his right temple, as well as a contusion to his forehead. He also hurt his hip.
The cops says Trey also said hateful comments including, “f—k you cracker” and “f—k the police.”
Trey was arrested and charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing a cop as well as aggravated assault. He pled guilty to 2 counts of disturbing the peace.
