WATCH: The Students of Stoneman Douglas H.S. at the Tony Awards

"The Band's Visit" was named Best Musical and "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" was the winner for Best Play at the Tony Awards in New York last night.

"Spiderman" star Andrew Garfield and Nathan Lane won for Best Actor and Best Featured Actor in a Play respectively.

Sara Bareilles and Josh Groban hosted (she’s HUGE on Broadway right now for her musical, Waitress.)

But the highlight of the show: Drama students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, in Parkland Florida, made a surprise showing and sang "Seasons of Love" from "Rent”, bringing many audience members to tears and earning a standing ovation.

School drama teacher Melody Herzfeld was honored with the excellence in theater education award as the Broadway ceremony took time to remember the tragedy.

Also to note: Robert De Niro was one of the presenters and again, used the event to bash President Donald Trump.
