"Rugrats" is coming back to Nickelodeon!!!
The popular animated series about a feisty group of babies will return with 26 new episodes at a date to be announced later, as well as a live-action film featuring CGI characters, to come in November 2020.
According to Brian Robbins, president of Paramount Players, “Kids who grew up with Tommy Pickles and the ‘Rugrats’ crew will now be able to share that experience with their own children.”
Original creators Arlene Klasky, Gábor Csupó and Paul Germain will return as executive producers.
“Rugrats” premiered on Nickelodeon in 1991 and ran for nine seasons over 13 years. It also inspired a spin-off called “All Grown Up!,” which focused on the beloved characters’ preteen years. That series ran from 2002 to 2008.
