A hacker who exposed nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and other celebrities got sentenced to 8 months in federal prison.
Twenty-six-year-old George Garofano illegally hacked the private Apple iCloud account of J-Law, which led to the nude photo leak. In addition to prison, the judge also served him with three years of supervised release, once he’s out.
George pled guilty in April and admitted he’d posed as a member of Apple’s online security to access usernames and passwords. He's 1 of 4 people charged in the hacking scandal, which began in 2041 and photos of Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande, Kristen Dunst and more.
The other hackers have already been sentenced, with terms ranging from 9-18 months in prison.
