A recent survey found that, out of 20 celebrities that could be favorites in a presidential run, Oprah Winfrey is the most likely to be considered by Americans (even though she shot down rumors earlier this year saying she would not be making a bid for president in 2020). Millennials were the largest age group to express their interest in an Oprah run for president.
The top three, Oprah, Tom Hanks, and Dwayne Johnson, took 43 percent of the vote. Many of those who made the top 20 have either expressed interest in running, have been involved with politics in the past, or have been the subject of rumors about a potential run for the White House.
Kanye West, who has been vocal about his support of President Trump and met with him earlier this month in the Oval Office, made the top 10. Kanye has also teased that he would run for president in 2024. HOWEVER, he said Tuesday that he will be distancing himself from politics and focus more on his art and music.
The survey was conducted Oct. 17-24 and participants included 1,082 adults between the ages of 18 and 73 across America
