On Friday, Kid Rock tweeted,“Taylor Swift wants to be a Democrat because she wants to be in movies….period. And it looks like she will suck the door knob off Hollyweird to get there. Oldest move in the book. Good luck girl.”
Ooooh boy.
Chrissy Teigen was among the first to respond, tweeting: You’re pathetic.
Sheryl Crow, who did a song with Kid Rock back in the day, tweeted, “Spread love. Not hate. End of subject."
Others were also quick to call out the tweet as being out-dated and misogynistic.
"Hey Kid - The 50's called - they want their sexist, outdated thinking back," one Twitter user wrote.
After being accused of "liking" that tweet from Kid Rock slamming Taylor, Kacey Musgraves has found herself in the middle of this drama.
She swears she and Taylor are on good terms.
Kacey initially told her fans that she had been off social media all day and her account had been hacked - that’s how the "like" happened. THEN, she said it was a “manipulated image."
She tweeted yesterday, "I've connected with Taylor – she knows this is NOT how I feel and we are cool. That was a manipulated image, (I don't even follow Kid Rock), and I would NEVERRR support any message promoting such disgusting misogyny."
And Taylor believed her - She acknowledged Kacey’s statement with a "like" on that from her own official Twitter account.
