The Detroit Sunday Service that Kanye West is doing is happening TOMORROW.
He’ll be performing at NOON on Friday at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheater (formerly Chene Park), where he'll be joined by local choir singers.
Singers rehearsed Wednesday and Thursday evening.
Tickets are on sale (free tickets) at 10AM Thursday.
Now - Why Friday and not SUNDAY for this Sunday Service?
That’s a little fuzzy - There were some rumors that the Service could accompany the release of his much-delayed new album, "Jesus is King."
But we don’t think that’s happening. Multiple media outlets, respected ones like Rolling Stone and Variety, said the album is getting delayed, so we WON’T be getting it tomorrow.
No reason why.
“Jesus Is King” is expected to be heavily gospel-influenced.
