Taylor Swift's mom, Andrea, was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. She relapsed last year.
During a new interview this week, Taylor delivered more bad news about her mom's health. While she was in treatment for her most recent bout with cancer, doctors found a brain tumor.
Taylor said, “The symptoms of what a person goes through when they have a brain tumor is nothing like what we’ve ever been through with her cancer before. So it’s just been a really hard time for us as a family.”
Her mom's health is the big reason Taylor decided to limit touring for her latest album, “Lover”. She's reportedly limiting herself to just 4 stadium dates in America, and a festival circuit in Europe. It's intentionally a lighter load than usual, so she can help her mom.
Taylor said:”It just was the decision to make at the time, for right now, for what’s going on. Everyone loves their mom; everyone’s got an important mom. But for me, she’s really the guiding force. Almost every decision I make, I talk to her about it first.”
