Post Malone live-streamed a virtual Nirvana tribute concert Friday on YouTube and raised over $500,000 for the United Nation’s Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
Post was backed by a socially-distanced band that included Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker.
Post performed an 80-minute set of 15 Nirvana tracks, but “Polly” and “Smells Like Teen Spirit” were the only songs not covered by Post.
Kurt Cobain’s widow Courtney Love and Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic were supportive of Post’s tribute.
