Comedian Norm Macdonald died yesterday at the age of 61 after privately battling cancer for nine-years.
Norm was best known for his stint as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 1993 to 1998. He notably served as the anchor of the “Weekend Update” segment for three seasons.
He then starred on “The Norm Show" from 1999 to 2001. Most recently he hosted a talk show for Netflix titled “Norm Macdonald Has a Show” which aired for one season in 2018.
His longtime producing partner and friend Lori Jo Hoekstra said that Macdonald wanted to keep his health struggles a secret from his family, friends and fans.
