Britney Spears is free!
Los Angeles judge Brenda Penny ended the conservatorship that has controlled her life and money for nearly 14 years.
Judge Penny said, "As of today, the conservatorship of the person and estate of Britney Jean Spears is hereby terminated.”
Outside the courthouse, fans were cheering and chanting,"Britney! Britney! Britney!"
A source said Britney has already hired forensic accountants and intended to sue her father Jamie for ‘conservatorship abuse’.
The source said: ‘She blames her father for, effectively, ruining her life for the past 13 years. He had total control over everything from her finances to whether she could have more babies. She’s mad as hell and you can expect to see a lawsuit filed against Jamie Spears very soon.’
Jamie Spears denies any wrongdoing, saying his daughter’s $60 million fortune was protected under his guidance.
So, what's next? Britney is already making plans to record new music.
She hasn't picked a producer and there are no writers tapped for songs, but she wants back in the game.
Sources say she has no plans, at least for now, to perform in Vegas or anywhere else for that matter.
