Bob Saget's friends John Mayer and Jeff Ross shared memories of the late comedian after they picked up his car from LAX airport yesterday.
The singer and comedian were seen in an Instagram clip as Mayer drove Saget's vehicle on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles, exchanging memories of the "Full House" star on the winter day.
John said that Saget's "effusive and repeated expression of love is the greatest gift that he left people," noting the personal connection Saget made with his friends throughout his life.
John said, "I've never known a human being on this earth who could give that much love, individually and completely, to that many people in a way that made each person feel like he was a main character in their life and they were a main character in his life.
"Everyone is so aware how universal Bob's love for people was. The thing that just keeps coming up when people say they're sorry is just, "I loved that guy."'
John noted how Saget had kept a positive mindset in the wake of a number of family tragedies, including the death of his sister Andrea at 35 from brain aneurysm in 1985, and the 1994 death of sister Gay from the autoimmune disease scleroderma.
"He had every excuse under the sun to be cynical, to be upset, to be distrusting. He had every reason to be the guy in the back of the bar bitter."
John said that Saget instead "laughed and he spread joy and his protest against the cruelty of these things was that he was going to smile, and spread love, and be childlike, and be innocent, and be loving."
Jeff said that Saget was truly a friend in need, as he 'really did take care [of] everybody' no matter the circumstance.
Jeff also noted how Saget 'loved making people happy,' as 'it didn't matter who you were' or what 'your status' was.
"He somehow took his TV family and made them his real family, which is unheard of. There's going to be something missing for a long time."
Mayer said that he and Ross were only two of many friends impacted by the comedian's shocking death.
"We are just a couple of stars in the galaxy of Bob Saget's loved ones. This doesn't even begin to account for a giant tapestry of stories ... this guy replicated direct, connect love with everyone."
