Demi Lovato won’t confirm that her new single, “29” is about ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama.
The singer said she had a lot of anxiety about putting out the song but had to “own my truth” with the new single. However, Lovato didn’t share what her truth was but said “29” speaks for itself.
When Demi teased the song earlier this month, fans thought the lyrics were about Valderrama and the 12-year age gap between the two. In the song, Lovato sings, “Finally 29. Funny, just like you were at the time. Thought it was a teenage dream. Just a fantasy. But was it yours or was it mine?”
The two dated from 2010 to 2016. Lovato was 17 when she met Valderrama who was 29 at the time.
