Actor Jeremy Renner suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” after a New Year’s Day snow plowing accident.
The actor was reportedly using a plowing machine called a ‘Snowcat’ at the time of the incident. The machine accidentally ran over one of his legs, causing Renner to lose a lot of blood at the scene. His neighbor, who is a doctor, is being credited for quickly rushing to his aid and potentially saving his life. The neighbor tended to his injury, putting a tourniquet on his leg to help stop the bleeding until first responders and a helicopter arrived to airlift the actor to the hospital.
The ‘Avengers’ star had surgery yesterday and “remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition."
