Ja Rule and JAY-Z's REFORM Alliance joined forces to honor a group of women with children in honor of Mother's Day.

The Long Island, N.Y. native teamed up with Sei Less Restaurant, Hov's advocacy organization and The Ladies of Hope Ministries for a special luncheon that catered to 40 moms and their children. Ja Rule sat down with the moms and listened to their stories about their experiences with the criminal justice systems following their incarceration. Meanwhile, Sei Less co-founder Ivi Shano personally served up popular entrees including beijing chicken, filet mignon with broccoli, chicken satays, rock shrimp tempura and more.

The luncheon was a gift for the hard-working ladies ahead of Mother's Day weekend. Two days after the event, Ja Rule revealed his plans to honor all the moms out there with his upcoming song. In an Instagram post, the 48-year-old artist announced his next single "Mama" featuring Sada James will arrive on Sunday, May 12.

"I’m baaaack… 5/12/24." he wrote in the caption.

"Mama" will serve as Ja Rule's first new song since 2021's "Blow" and "Sincerely Jeffrey." It's set to arrive ahead of Ja's forthcoming album. Earlier this year, he informed fans that he's in "album mode." There's no word on whether or not the song will end up on the album.
