After 8 years with Mojo in the Morning, I have decided to hang up my jersey. This decision was not easy and I want to start by saying THANK YOU to all of the amazing Channel 955 listeners I have met over the years. Mojo in the Morning will always be my family.
I went from wanting to be a certified public account to an on-air radio personality. My favorite question: How did you get into radio, Joey? I was driving to OU my freshman year in 2011 for a midterm exam and Mojo fired an intern on the spot. He opened up the phone lines for listeners to call up to be the new intern. I got through and they told me to come to the studio. I turned around and skipped my midterm. (Emailed the teacher and he told me I can not makeup the exam) That led to an opportunity of a lifetime. Don’t wait for the right opportunity: create it!
